This download contains the DivX Mac codec, our latest free codec offering for the Macintosh operating system. The DivX Mac codec plugs into any QuickTime-enabled video application letting anyone create high-quality DivX videos at a fraction of the original size and offers instant access to the millions of DivX files available on the Internet today. DivX Mac allows playback of DivX movies on any computer running the Macintosh operating system or, with DivX Certified DVD players, right on your TV. DivX is a cross-platform file format meaning that all DivX files created on a Mac will play back on any PC and vice versa. With the DivX Mac codec installed, you can create movies in the popular DivX video format or reduce the size of current video files to store on your hard drive or on standard CD-Rs. The DivX Mac codec lets you convert all the bulky video files on your Mac to highly compressed DivX video without any visible reduction in video quality.
