The Clear Search Anti-phishing software heuristically analyzes both email messages in web-based mail systems and web pages including, AOL, Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora. When a phishing event is detected, the user is notified of the event, its severity and where to obtain additional information. The application is controlled via an icon in the system tray allowing the application to be enabled and disabled and configured to various user preferences. Similar to anti-virus programs, the Clear Search Anti-Phishing software checks for updates daily and downloads and installs these updates when they become available to insure that the program will detect and protect the user from the latest phishing threats. You will be notified upon each update.
