EldoS PKI Tools is set of programs designed for encryption and signing of files using X.509 certificates and for management of these certificates. 1. File Processor allows you to pack, unpack, sign, encrypt, verify signature and decrypt files using X.509 certificate right from Windows Explorer. It also allows to send encrypted or signed files by e-mail. File Processor seamlessly integrates into Windows Explorer to provide easy access to file manipulation functions. It lets you perform both simple file operations such as pack files into ZIP archive, send files by e-mail, securely delete files and advanced security operations such as signing and encryption of files and folders. All operations are performed in a couple of clicks, e.g. you can pack files into ZIP archive, sign the archive and send it by e-mail by selecting one command in Explorer context menu. 2. Certificate Generator is a wizard-like application that lets you generate certificates and certificate requests. It can create both self-signed certificates and certificates, signed by other (CA) certificates. Certificate Generator lets you specify algorithms and key length, intended uses of certificates and Certificate Revocation List location. 3. Certificate Manager lets you easily browse Windows Certificate storages and manage certificates. You can export, import or delete unnecessary certificates. Both: certificate generator and certificate manager support certificates in CER, PEM, PFX SPC/PVK formats. EldoS PKI Tools is different from other encryption tools in that it uses digital certificates instead of passwords to provide information security and integrity. All you need is a certificate, which can be stored on USB Dongle or Smart Card. If you don`t understand what certificate is - no problem. You will find comprehensive information about certificates and where to get them in EldoS PKI Tools documentation. You will be able to create a certificate yourself too.
