Programul PaneCutter este destinat pentru generarea automată a planului de debitare, pentru fabricanţi de mobilă sau alte prodse din material rectangular (PAL, plăci de metal, sticlă, etc.), al căror gamă de producţie este largă sau se schimbă permanent. Mulţumit algoritmului sofisticat, recursiv, PaneCutter găseşte planul optim de debitare cu o pierdere minimă posibilă. Oferă mai multe soluţii, întotdeauna sortată astfel încât soluţia cea mai optimă să fie prima, oferinduşi posibilitatea utilizatorului ca să aleagă o altă variantă. PaneCutter este un program foarte uşor de folosit. Pe fereastra principală, utilizatorul poate seta lungimea şi lăţimea plăcii de debitat, şi lungimea şi lăţimea fiecărei piese dorite. Aceste informaţii poat fi salvate şi reluate ulterior pentru o eventuală revizuire. Lişta părţilor individuale nu trebuie salvate pentru efectuarea procesului de optimalizare. În cazul unor materiale (ex. sticlă) nu contează care este lungimea şi care lăţimea părţilor individuale. În aceste cazuri pentru o soluţie mai optimă, utilizatorul poate folosi opţiunea “Rotarea părţilor acceptat”. După introducerea dimensiunilor părţilor individuale, trebuie apăsat butonul “Calculare”, pentru pornirea procesului de optimalizare. Durata acestui proces, depinde de viteza calculatorului, precum şi de numărul de piese individuale. Utilizatorul are posibilitatea de a alege dintre soluţiile oferite pentru vizualizare (întotdeauna prima este recomandată). Fiecare placă, cu planul optim de debitare poate fi vizualizată pe ecran şi la cerere poate fi şi tipărită.
