Spyware is any technology that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge. One the Internet, spyware is programming put into someone`s computer to secretly gather information about the user and relay it to advertises or other interested parties. Spyware can get in a computer as a software virus or as the result of installing a new program. Victims of spyware can experience the following issues: (1) Stealing of Information (2) Pop Up Ads (3) Increased SPAM e-mail messages (4) Slowing down the computer (5) system crashes. SpyVest scans computers for existing spyware and adware programs. Scans include files and folders, registry, cookies, and application scans. Active Protection is provided for spyware applications that hijack web browsers. The Live Update feature keeps your computer safe from new adware and spyware programs. SpyVest takes customer feedback and updates the program and definition list to improve the product. The SpyVest interface was developed to be easily accessible and logical. Users are able to navigate through the application with ease.
